From a Boy to a Manly Man
Remember Marcus, the eccentric 12-year-old kid from About a Boy (one of my favorite movies ever!) with the depressive, suicidal mother who befriended Hugh Grant?
I'm with Coco
Okay, so here's the thing.
Due to low ratings, NBC has decided to move Jay Leno's talk show from prime time (10 PM) back to late night (11.35 PM) - at Conan O'Brien's expense. O'Brien's 'Tonight Show' will be bumped from the original 11.35 PM time slot to 12.05 AM. O'Brien felt like he got screwed because of Leno's rating failure (I know, life's sometimes a bitch huh?), so instead of settling for Leno's 'sloppy seconds' he decided to leave the network altogether.

In one of his recent shows, he said:
"Hosting 'The Tonight Show' has been the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for me -- and I just want to say to the kids out there watching: You can do anything you want in life. Unless Jay Leno wants to do it too."
Ohhh...I can sooo relate! As a friend mentioned, "When in doubt, DETACH!"

Lessons Learned
Some things I learned from a training on Unconventional Presentation Methods:
"Silence is a way of getting attention."
Funny how this also applies to relationships/marriages. Also known as, the 'silent treatment'. And of course I have so effectively used it once in a while to get things to go my way hehehe.
"Punctuality is a matter of simple courtesy. Arriving late is a way of saying that your own time is more valuable than the time of the person who waited for you."
THIS is dedicated especially to Mr. *ehem*ehem* yang kini berada di USJ9 =P
"There are no such thing as stupid questions. Only stupid answers."
...and stupid jokes. And stupid people who just wouldn't stop telling them - dude, it's not funny okay?

Siang Malam Termimpi-mimpi
This is fresh from the hot oven yoo!!! Just got back from Skypark Terminal at Subang Airport, visiting Fatma's stall at Bijou Bazaar - in conjuction with MAS Touchdown event. Coincidentally, Pesawat was about to come on stage when I got there, so I got to watch them performed live for the first time.
At first, I thought I was soo out of place among those groupie teenagers. But when the band played Rasional Emosional and Mirage, I sort of joined the screaming teens and started jumping & singing my heart out too hehe. And by the end of the day, tadaaa...
...saya telah memaksa Fatma join saya meng-groupie-kan diri hihihihi! Jipie, the band's vocal (most left) is kinda cute huh? He's a rockstar, of course he's cute to my eyes dude muahahaha! I know this is stupid, but OMG I'm so starstruck right now!!! Me doing my happy dance, SRB shaking his head in disbelief hehe.
Siang malam termimpi-mimpi...pagi petang tercari-cari...tiap saat ternanti-nanti...kau masih tiada di sisiiiii. Let's sing it with me people woohooo!

Pulau Mutiara
For Pitis' wedding, we opted to stay in Penang instead of Sg. Petani mainly coz there are more things to do, places to go in Penang during our 2-night stay. Mintak maap ye org2 Sg. Petani ;)
Stayed in the relatively new Naza Talyya Hotel in Tg. Bungah and gotta say, it's quite nice for the cheap rate that we got. The breakfast buffet was definitely better than Porto Malai's - stuffed myself with a gazillion hash browns (what? I love hash brown, deal with it).
View from our balcony
Each morning, we'd have our breakfast then go for long walks by the beach - my favourite. I could just live like this mannn...someone gimme a beach house plssss? Tengah hari, drove to Sg. Petani for Pitis' Akad Nikah and the next day, Reception.
Malam, went to Batu Feringhi to buy some "souvenirs" (DVD murah lerrr hehe) but too bad 'line tak clear' that night, so all suppliers either tutup kedai or ventured into their second businesses selling legal items; magnets, crystal bracelets, art crafts, etc. The rest of the night we just lepak mamak, makan, borak and were later joined by the rest of the girls. Drove by Hard Rock Hotel on the way back but was too tired to walk around and explore it so we just jakun from inside the car.
Lesson learnt from the trip - I'm becoming too old to hangout at mamak sampai tengah malam buta coz I'm already thinking of the bed by 10 PM (is it just me or you pun sama?). Just DON'T, I repeat, DO NOT remind me how old I'm turning this year, thank you very much =p

Pulau Lagenda
By now, I think most of you already know that I LOVE being a beach bum during my spare time. But since it's monsoon season now in the east coast, obviously I couldn't spend my break 'tanning' myself at one of those pulau-pulau indah di Laut China Selatan. So, I settled for one of the islands in the west coast jelaa. Welcome to Pulau Langkawi: Pulau Lagenda chewahhh~
Since we're planning to drop by Sg. Petani for Pitis' wedding after the Langkawi trip, taking the plane was not an option. So we drove to Kuala Kedah, parked our car there and took the ferry to Langkawi. As it was also the school holiday, of course ramai orang, ferry penuh, kids everywhere.
It took almost 2 hours to reach the island. Sampai jetty, amek keta sewa then dear SRB drove us to Awana Porto Malai dengan sangat rempitnya, adoiii pening gue. He said - dapat kereta rempit, so bawak pun kena macam rempit laa hahah!
I love our hotel - the sea-view balcony, the boardwalk, the nearby jetty (which made me feel like we're in Miami bebehhh hihi).
BUT the breakfast buffet, memang fail. They didn't even serve hash brown, supposedly makanan wajib di setiap breakfast buffet ok, cisss! And I thought Awana is supposed to be a 4-star hotel?
We signed up for a snorkling trip at Pulau Payar Marine Park, which was another 1-and-a-half-hour ferry ride away. This time we're allowed to get some fresh air and enjoy the view from the top of the boat.
Long story short, we reached Pulau Payar but had to turn back due to the rough sea - snorkling trip's cancelled kids! They gave us full refunds but people were still angry for the waste of time. Like hellooo...haven't you heard of the weather forecast, Encik Organizer?
We malas nak emo sgt on our vacation, so we decided to just move on and drive up to Tanjung Rhu to find the perfect white sandy beach to lepak. Found a quiet one right next to Four Seasons Hotel. I straightaway dropped my bag, took out my towel, my book and voila! BAHAGIAAAA...
The rest of the trip was spent doing the usual tourist-y stuff:
Went for some massages.
Visited Makam Mahsuri. "Langkawi maju selepas 7 keturunan Mahsuri, adakah ianya suratan atau hanya satu kebetulan?" - said the voice from the museum video. Goosebump bebbb!
Drove around the island for more sight-seeing and photography sessions.
Then took the ferry back to Kuala Kedah (by this time I was already so sick of ferry rides. No more ferry for me, not for another 10 years lagi kot) and drove down to our next destination, Pulau Pinang: Pulau Mutiara.
To be continued...
