Temporary Hiatus

As mentioned before, I am currently taking a long break from work and enjoying more time with family, friends and nature.

I am now in the state of ignorance where I don't even bother to remember the date and what day of the week everyday is and I find technology as such a distraction to humankind (except phone calls or smses to ajak lepaklah ye kawan2 =p).

Hence, this blog will also be joining me on my vacation bliss and it'll be on a temporary hiatus until I recovered from the post-vacay blues hehe. Taaa~

Light at the End of Tunnel

Today marks my last day of work for the year 2009. The next time I step into this place would be in 2010 - bye-bye you stinking office! Annual leave has been approved, handover documentations have been completed and outstanding issues on my part have been cleared, syabasss! Can't believe that this is finally over after 2 years and buckets of blood, sweat and tears fuuhhh~

Since I'm in the mood of celebration right now, let's have a look at some that we've had recently.

FINALLY, after 9 years of togetherness =)

Pancaroba

For the past couple of weeks, I have been in a roller coaster of emotions and it got me into some deep, self-reflective thinking, my friend. Seriously, hidup ini memang penuh dengan dugaan dan segala macam pancaroba. As Vince Vaughn said in Couples Retreat: "We don't have a problem, honey. We have a million problems. And so does everybody else."

I watched a friend got carried away with sadness until she lost her sense of self-respect.

I saw the aftermath of a boy's 'unworldly' experience and was reminded again of the power of Azan and Ayat Kursi.

I watched a love-struck girl turned her back on her family and ended up hurting everyone including/especially herself.

I met an unbelievably RUDE boy who's soo clueless of his reality that I felt like kicking him in the head, literally.

I also watched the face of the one dearest to me, lit up with genuine happiness as he finally got what he wished for. I know this is cliche, but when you love someone, you would indeed feel happy simply by seeing him/her happy.

As I became the spectator of these events, I have been overwhelmed with sadness, anger, love, happiness, keinsafan and many other kinds of feelings. Rasa macam my whole jiwa dan raga was being put into a 'stress test' in order to find out my emotional threshold, before I breakdown and totally lose my mind ahah!

But other than that, life's been good and normal. All I'm thinking nowadays is kissing work goodbye and going for our end-of-the-year vacation =). Sorry ye, ini battery sudah habis and desperately needs to be re-charged boss!

The Lucky Laki

SRB and I are head over heels with these bunch of cute and talented little rock stars right now (memang melalak lagu ni all the time hahaks). A true example of 'ke mana tumpahnya kuah, kalau tak ke nasi'.

Was distracted throughout the past Raya Haji weekend that I didn't have time to obsess over chenta hatiku di alam fantasi ini. Malas nak citer banyak, if not sampai esok pun tak habis. So here goes my main points for New Moon:

1. Some might disagree, but from my biased point of view (hehe), I think Taylor Lautner was so good as Jacob Black lalalala. His sad-but-control-macho face when Bella didn't pick him made my heart wept! Fyi Jake, I'd choose you over any vampire in a heartbeat bebehhhh!


2. Sam Uley, the wolf pack's alpha male adalah sangat macho tahap nagaaaa!!! I went crazy over the "Bella, get back!" scene, sambil menggoncang2 kaki jiran sebelah hahah!

3. Edward? Edward who? Mamat yang pucat and kurus kerempeng itukah? I'm sorry but suicidal vampire is just unattractive dude. Ampunnn, Robsessed peeps hihihi~

4. Let's watch it again and again and again! Dear SRB, you can't run away from meeee...I promise I'll TRY to behave =p

Tidbits

The first week activities of the C25K program have been completed. Muahaha akhirnyaaa! Now, on to the second week pulak. Come on, we can do it babyyy!

New Moon tickets have been acquired weeehoooo (jumping up and down)!!! Time for us ladies to turn into a bunch of obsessive 15-year-olds ahaks! Do I still have time to find Team Jacob t-shirt somewhere? =p

Khayra's 1st Bday

Miss Khayra turned 1 yesterday, so of course we threw her a little birthday party, complete with theme color, balloons and all yeayyy! How time flies huh?

And as usual, for birthday party baby camni, yang terlebih excited mestilah the parents, the grandparents, the aunties (guilty as charged hehe) and uncles =p

As for the birthday girl herself, "apakah benda di atas kepala saya ini? Urkkk..."


And everything would eventually end up in her mouth hehehe...

Happy 1st birthday Khayraaaa! May you continue to be such a happy little kid for the years to come =)

Laugh-inducing

Two movies I watched recently that I think are worth mentioning here in my space. Both are totally laugh-inducing. You HAVE to watch them.

Columbus: The first rule of Zombieland: Cardio. When the zombie outbreak first hit, the first to go, for obvious reasons ... were the fatties.

C25K

Me and SRB are unofficially joining a fitness regime program called c25k, which I recently found out, thanks to nadi0. It's a program that according to the site, "has been designed to get just about anyone from the couch to running 5 kilometers or 30 minutes in just 9 weeks". Not like we're really an established couch-potato or anything laa - nowadays we hardly have time to watch the news or any program in Astro, buat rugi bayar jek. And not that we really wanna start running for marathons sana sini jugak. It's cliche but true - we're just trying to lead a healthy lifestyle hihihi!

Basically in this program, you just follow the fitness schedule that they provide for free and after 9 weeks, they say you'd be able to run for 5-km marathon or more, HOPEFULLY. So far, baru berjaya buat 1 je hahaha! Come on dearrrr, we've gotta finish the 1st week punya at least! But as we all know, right now it's monsoon season not just in the east coast, but also here in the west coast. So macam susah sikit. Takkan nak lari setempat je kot? Kehkehkeh~

After the first session of alternate jog and run last Saturday, had a nice little treat in Subang Parade's Secret Recipe, eating their melt-on-your-mouth Blueberry Cheese Cake nyummm. Healthy lifestyle lah sangat kannn...apekah Rinaaaa??? Hahahaha!


Takpe, besides TRYING to live healthy, my motto is also to ENJOY little things in life =)

Work oh Work!

Worked for the whole 7 days last week. Camped out in Bangi & Cyberjaya data centers throughout Sat-Sun from AM to PM that I hardly saw the daylight last weekend *sighhhh*. Oh God, gimme patience...the phrase "bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian" seems so hard for me to swallow right now. When is that 'bersenang-senang' part gonna come mannnn isk!

But anyhow, it was not all-work-and-no-play at our data center campsite hehe. Halfway through the brain-cracking session, we suddenly had a contagious craving for Cadbury cholocate bars, perhaps due to mental exhaustion or perhaps just our plain gluttony hahah! Somehow memang cepat laparlah keja on weekends even though we've already ordered food for breakfast, lunch and dinner hehe.

Lepas dah kenyang, everybody started acting crazy, talking obscenely, ketawa ketuk2 meja tengok The Hangover (those guys are funny mann! I watched this movie whenever I'm having the blues and Bradley Cooper never fails to cheer me up with his profanity-laced lines and serabut hotness hihi). I'd like to say that the hyperactive-ness was due to the 6-bar-Cadbury's sugar rush, but come to think of it, maybe we're like that most of the time =p

Uuu...why so serious dude? Dah jumpa solution ke?

Hahaha jangan tertipuuuu!

2 more weekends of work and then, I don't wanna set foot on the data center ever again! I don't even wanna see or smell that place, even from afar, seriousss! Dah tak sanggup dah nak buat any data center-related projects okayyy! Sekali tengok kena hantar gi Kerteh plak lepas ni, huwaaaa tidakkkssss!!!


Oh God, please reserve some sanity for me to survive the upcoming weeks. Gambatte rakan2~

Belated House-Warming

Alhamdulillah the super belated house-warming went very well despite the last minute kelam-kabutness hehe. I tell ya, susah gak nak prepare a majlis if it was just the two of us even though rumah takdelah besar mane pun, sekangkang kera je. Thank God we've got all the help needed from nearby Mama & Babah, Kakne, aunties, uncles and cousins.

The first guest was Datin Azie and family tepat jam 4 petang hohoho syabasss! It was her special appearance indeed coz bukan senang nak jumpa cik puan kita ni. Lil Nadhirah punya suara sexy mcm the mommy woohoo~

Then came segerombolan of the extended families, neighbors and SRB began to panic, worrying about not having enough space in the house for them to sit and eat hehe. Don't worry dear, we have plenty of space =). And oh, miss kecik kita came by too, alalala cayanggg meh kat auntie meh =p


Most of TKCians came after Maghrib to liven things up further. Biasalaa kan bila we all get together2, memang huha huha sana sini. I laughed like a mad woman dengar lawak Kirah yg blur "Hah? Mee bandung? Sapa pegi Bandung?" hahahaha budusss! Thanks for coming girlsss!


The work clan came and lepaks and shared ghost stories of our office building. Luckily I was not in that conversation masa tu weyyy! Dahlah pagi tadi sampai ofis at 7 AM ofis gelaaap je huwarghhh~


The RPI group played our all-time favourite board game, Cranium, upstairs while the host and hostess finally got the chance to relax sikit, enjoy makan and catch up with everybody's current affairs hehe. Sorry kawan2, gue penat sgt tak dpt nak join main. If not, sure team aku dah menang dah muahahaha AS IF lah team aku selalu menang dulu pon kehkehkeh! Thanks for these pics Arepap. After bergelak ketawa kat porch luar di tengah malam buta (Tody and his outstanding gelak mengilai haha), the RPI friends were the last to leave so they helped the host cleaned things up a bit - thanks guys!

The party ended around 1:30 AM and we literally left everything else as it was (kaki dah rasa cam nak tercabut dah oiii), but making sure valuable things were kept inside the house. Woke up the next morning, feeling sore all over, baru cuci pinggan mangkuk, kemas2, then pengsan, bangun, mandi and treated ourselves with Taipan's delicious Baskin-Robbins ice-cream yummehhhh nak lagiiii!

To say it was tiring was an understatement, rasa cam until today pun tak recover lagi but it was all worth it, seeing friends and families enjoying the food and having a good time. As Wanda Sykes, the stand-up comedienne, has so aptly put it: "I don't do Facebook. I do face-to-face book" chewaaahh hahaha!

Cuci the Musical

HILARIOUS with a capital H!!!

Caught the show with SRB and a bunch of friends last night, the same night as Tun Dr. Mahathir did. So that was a bit special hehe~

Laughed non-stop throughout the show, sampai ketuk2 kerusi, and got into 'groupie' mode by the end of it, terloncat2 screaming out their names. But not groupie enough to actually buy the program book and queue up for the meet-and-greet lah hahah! Tengok dari belakang line ajelah yee =p

Miss Sunshine

Lil miss sunshine is currently inflicted with demam campak (her mom got it first like a week before). Didn't get a chance to see how she's doing for past couple of days due to futsal and Cuci The Musical.

But this is her, 2 days ago, with mild fever and some red dots on her body.

Little Hen Party

Another one in the group (Pitis) is getting hitched soon, so we all got together for a little 'Hen Night' last Saturday. Subak was the restaurant of choice, so off we went, on a drizzling Saturday night, to 'bikin havoc' di Sungai Penchala hahaha ~ lame =p

Bought a small cake to celebrate the bride-to-be sambil menyelit Kirah's belated birthday celebration too. The cake became our appetizer instead of dessert coz we're just too hungry to wait for the main course. So balun ajelah apa yg ade hihiks!

I noticed that they have added many more new dishes in their menu, so memang boleh datang sini banyak kali lagilah to try them out yeayyy! I really love it there...the instrumental Balinese music, sounds of crickets chirping, frogs croaking, water flowing from the mini waterfall into the pond - coziest place ever lah.

The restaurant closed at 11 PM, but we're not ready to wrap up our cerita-ceriti session yet, so sambung lepak kat Pappa Rich, Kota Damansara till about what, 12.30AM? 1AM? Definitely not exceeding 1AM lah coz that's wayyy past our bedtime already hahaha! Makin tua, makin tido awal, oh tidaks~

No sleepover this time coz some had to fly back to Bintulu the next day, some had to work, etc so we parted ways while we're still awake enough to drive home safely.

So, whose Hen Party's next? Jeng jeng jeng...
