I Don't Know

Most of the time, 'I don't know' means 'I know, but I don't want to tell you.'
- Dr. Dani Santino, Necessary Roughness -

Hmmm...interesting...

P/S: Sometimes while watching some TV shows or reading some books, I'd come across some lines which would make me pause and go, "Hmmm, that's true. I never thought of it that way." Like there are some kind of lessons to be learned there. Like something about those lines that sort of speak my mind. And I like to write them down here so I can be reminded of the lessons I learned or what I was thinking/feeling at the time of writing. That's why, in case you haven't noticed by now, this space is full of quotes instead of personal anecdotes. And if you don't like it or find it annoying, well, it's simple really - just piss off. Capisce?

50/50

Adam: That's what everybody's been saying. You'll feel better and don't worry and this is all fine and it's not.
Katherine: You can't change your situation. The only thing that you can change is how you choose to deal with it.

I couldn't make him cry watching The Notebook (the ultimate tear-jerker movie ever). But tonight, 50/50 finally did the job. Actual tears were shed. Tonight, history was made. Hehe.

P/S: Joseph Gordon-Levitt sgt comelllll!

Staying Alive

"I wish you told me how you felt."
"I thought you knew."
"That was your trouble, Murray - you always assumed I could read your mind."
"Isn't that how it's supposed to be? When you've been with someone for a while, you know what they're thinking. I always knew what's on your mind."

Ctrl Alt Del

Check out those Ctrl Alt Del sofa pillows from Two and A Half Men.

So geeky yet so cool! I want! Although I'm not really a computer nerd like say...the gang in The Big Bang Theory, whom I'm sure these pillows are made for, who cares! Nerd schnerd, I think they'll look great on our grey couch huhu~

2011 Our Year in Sports

...as spectators, that is.

Though I wish I could say that I played all these sports in the past year instead. If I did, man, I would've been the proud owner of a fantastic 6-pack abs by now dude hahah! (And I wouldn't be making the clichéd new year resolution - to lose weight and get fit - yet again this year *sighhh*)

Dubai International Parachuting Championship
(Highlight: The amazing air show)

Dubai Rugby Sevens World Series
(Highlight: The All Blacks)

Race to Dubai, European Golf Tour
(Highlight: Rory McIlroy)

Mubadala World Tennis Championship, Abu Dhabi
(Highlight: Rafael Nadal, of course!)

Here's to another eventful year (I hope)!

On Tour Guide Duties

Winter = the best time to travel to Dubai = time for families to come visit = time for me to put my 'efficient tour guide' and 'great hostess' cap on (and gelabah fikir how to add variety to my cooking in order to provide guests with breakfast, lunch, minum petang and dinner for 7-9 days ngaaaa~)

December 2011: Father-in-law + 2 cousins were here.

January 2012: Mom + dad + 2 aunties will be coming to town.

February 2012: Taking a break from my tour guide duties. Time for us to be the tourists pulak hehe. Where to? Tungguuuu...

March 2012: Kakne + 2 brothers + sis-in-law + little niece will be here huyeahhh! Tak sabar nak tunggu si budak kecik yg celoteh tu datang Dubai huhu!

The Zen Space

Winter is slowly creeping in which makes it great to be outside now. So after 1 year of neglect, our balcony finally got a make-over (after sapu, penuh 1 plastik of pasir halus je!) and also its own furniture recently.

Now all I need is one of those small, battery-operated portable fountains. Then barulah I can truly call my balcony 'The Zen Space' =p

So I'm just gonna go ahead and NOT say it."
