"I hate to say it," my wife says. "But I think your mother might have a point there. You know, about you imitating your father's writing."
"Really?" I ask.
"Maybe," she says.
When people are worried about delivering bad news, the word 'maybe' almost always means 'of course.'
Married couples really only have a few arguments. They just keep having them over and over again.
