Laman

Ever since we bought this house, we've been talking about going to Sungai Buloh which is well-known as the landscaping haven in Klang Valley. But we never really make the effort to actually go there - usually sebab panas gile time tgh hari hehe.

Until some time last week, Kakne berjaya in making us woke up a bit early and moved our lazy asses to drive to Sungai Buloh. Finally, we were formally introduced to the world of gardening - the favorite past time of warga emas wakakaka!

We've also been drooling over some decorative air pancut
from Laman magazines for quite some time already, tapi bila ntah nak beli betul-betul. Dear, how much time do you think you need before deciding on which one? Hehehe...

Didn't end up with any kind of pokok2 pun at the end of the trip, not this timelah, but bought THIS instead...

Looking at the stones somehow brings me a sense of serenity. Like being on a beach somewhere *longing sigh*.

Steamed Siakap

In an effort to eat healthy, decided to cook some steamed fish for the family today. Found a good recipe yesterday from where else, Mesra.net lah - the favorite site for all kinds of recipe since zaman RPI lagi hehe. This one is called 'Ikan Kukus Berperisa Taucu'.

I have heard of taucu before but I have no idea at all how it looks like. Rupanya taucu ialah kacang masin yg dijerukkan ooOOooo baru ku tahu. You can find it in the kicap/sos tiram area.

And hasilnyaaa...

Jika tuan2 dan puan2 ingin mencubanya, here's a little tip from me chewahhhh. Use juices squeezed from lemon instead of limau nipis/kasturi. Also, put slices of lemon on the fish before wrapping it with aluminium foil for steaming. It tastes sooooo much better hingga menjilat jari, I guarantee you beb!!!

I thought 2 ekor cukup for 6 people (and I did choose 2 biggest siakap they have), but turned out macam tak puas makan. Sekelip mata je dah habis hehe. Next time must buy AT LEAST three lah.

I See Light!

Life has become much of a routine lately. So it's time for some fun in the sun bebeh! We're ON for the next island getaway wooohooo~

Here's hoping that the weather will be on our side throughout the trip, Insya Allah Amiiinnnnnn...

Now, all I gotta do is be strong enough to go through some shitty days at work (due to a certain 'cakap-besar-tapi-haprak' colleague) before seeing the light at the end of the tunnel hehe. And oh, find a good book to bring along too =)

Burger Malaysia

I wonder...why do most people suddenly crave for burger Malaysia on a cold, rainy night like tonight?

Went to buy Otai burger at a stall nearby tadi and mannn...what a queue! So it's not just me eh?
It seems like other people have the same kind of craving too hehe.

Whatever it is...melepak at the cozy porch, eating fresh-from-the-oven burger, while listening to the sound of soothing raindrops is just a perfect ending to a laid-back weekend.

It'll be even BETTER if our house is right by the beach kan babe hehe...

Such a Cliché

Our nice V-day dinner at the lovely Tamarind Springs last weekend...

It was actually our second visit there. We first went to this place nearly 4 years ago when I just got back from the States and it was kinda disastrous. Had a fight in the middle of dinner despite the romantic ambiance provided haha. Biaselaa...masa tu macam budak hingusan berchenta kahkahkah!

But this time around, everything went well. Had a good time dining (their tomyam soup which was added with some slices of sweet, juicy kelapa muda was GOOD) and talking and observing others, busybody giler, I know hahaha! Got a bit distracted jugaklah coz there were 2 gay couples double-dating at a table nearby - now THAT was interesting hihi. People are getting more daring nowadays huh ish ish ish...

The outcome of the dinner hmmm...I know this will end up sounding like a damn cliche, but I got a new cuddly to replace my almost-6-year-old stinky Stitch hehe. And someone got a 60-minute massage session he so desperately needs.

What? I'm sorry but sometimes I like cliches. It's lame and predictable but sweet nevertheless.

L.O.L

These just cracked me up BIG time man...

Some "wise" sayings from the "brilliant" David Brent.

1. A problem shared is a problem halved. So is your problem really yours or just half of someone else's?
2. There may be no 'I' in team, but there's a 'ME' if you look hard enough.
3. You have to be 100% behind someone, before you can stab them in the back.

Also, John Malkovich as Osbourne Cox, a fired and disgruntled CIA agent in Burn After Reading. This ought to be a CLASSIC.

I have a drinking problem?
What the fuck is this?
Whose ASS didn't I KISS?!!
I mean, let us be fucking honest here!!!

You don't think it's funny? Come onnnn dude~

Accomplished!

2009's resolution accomplished wallaweyyyy! Well, at least one of themlah...the easiest to achieve that is hehe.

After spending almost 1 hour learning how to turn a selendang into a nicely-shaped tudung by trial-and-error (sampai muscle cramped ok wakaka), finally I made it! Now I can safely say that I am efficient enough to wear 'tudung lilit' even to work yeayyy~

Kirahhh...aku berjaya melilit huhuhu!

Up next, lose weight? Ngaaaaaaa...

Friday the 13th

Wahhh I am at home at 9.30AM on a working day, and MTV is showing awesome video clips. BEST GILERRR~

SRB's taking me to somewhere secluded for a special V-day dinner tonight chewah chewah. We're celebrating a day earlier this year due to some technical misjudgment, i.e. "someone" (do you honestly think it's me? Come on =p) forgot to make the reservation earlier, before the place got fully booked for the 14th.

Sooo...am taking a time-off today and I'm gonna go find something nice to wear and something even nicer to give him. The deal was not to spend more than RM50 for the gift. Yelaaa...buatpe membazir, recession is coming dude hehe. But that's gonna be easy bebehhh. I already know what to buy hehe. I always come prepared muahahaha!

Happy Friday the 13th peeps - not that it means much anyway hahaks.

Why So Serious?

Ok first, just so we're clear, I adore my husband. He's the most kindhearted, forgiving, generous and not to mention, a very good-looking young man to ME (dear, it's best if you tak bace this whole paragraph coz I malas nak layan your smug face after reading this ok? =p). Even if I keep on drooling after other guys ranging from boy toy Jesse McCartney to the hunkiest of hunks Clive Owen, SRB is still at the back of my mind no worries babe. He's THE ONE, etc. I mean, u get it lah kan.

And I too, cried watching Majalah 3's coverage of life in Gaza after the 3-week war. I 'You-Tube'ed Obama's inaugaration speech which gave me major goosebumps. I also watched the news on the political circus they're having in Perak right now. And if that's not enough to show my awareness on more serious and momentous events happening around the world lately, I also read about Chris Brown's alleged attack on Rihanna which had caused visible injury due to some hitting and biting (Wth? Nak jadi Mike Tyson ape ke). Rihanna's concert in Malaysia & Indonesia had to be postponed following the scandal. Now, how serious is THAT? Wakakaka!

Point is (yes I do have a point here actually after the looong intro kehkehkeh), just because I write mostly about Who's Hot & Who's Not in Lala land, tv land, cinema land and all things not related to real life, doesn't mean that I'm a shallow, ignorant, self-absorbed, katak-bawah-tempurung little biatch sangatlah. I just chose not to talk about all those other serious stuff coz I know I'm no expert on those subjects, I'm merely just an observer/reader. And most importantly, where's the FUN in that? As the multiple-award-winning actor, the late Heath Ledger used to say..."Why so serioussss????" Muehehehe *evil grin*

So now, moving on to a more interesting subject.

Who is that young (and attractive) guy who happens to be Obama's sort of 'wingman'? Hehe.

Say hello to Jon Favreau, quite a looker, who helped to craft Obama's words of history while camping in Starbucks and who, according to Mr. President himself - is his mind reader whoaaa. OK maybe he's not THAT gorgeous lah, but he's a smart-ass who landed a job in White House as the Director of Speechwriting at such a young age - so that automatically bumps up his 'hotness' meter to 10 lah kan muahaha!

Despite having a very influential and important job, he's still like any other other normal
20-something guy who likes to play video-games, posts silly & scandalous pictures in Facebook, forgets to call home and has a former-model as a girlfriend (bosan aa diorang ni asyik nak model jek ciss) eventhough initially he did face some problem convincing women on what he actully does for a living. Girls used to say to him, "I don't believe you, that you're Barack Obama's speechwriter." And he'll reply, "If I really wanted to hit on you, don't you think I'd make up something more outlandish?" Good sense of humor hehe...I likeee!

And oh, he's just 27 years old okkk. Danngggg, I feel like such a loser with a crappy job now! Choppp, how old am I gonna be again this year? Hahaha buat2 lupe~

Hooked on TV

Aaahhh...it's been such an oh-so-relaxing long weekend which will make it sooo much harder going to work tomorrow bluargh! Didn't do much pun, mostly just lazying around, enjoying the new home.

Oh, we found a new DVD-ciplak hub that is closer to home - a store in the "ever-so-happening" Summit USJ (Arepap, jgn tipu ni favourite hang-out place kau eh haha)! Lil brother recommended the shop, we tried and yuppp memang gambar and subtitle cun gilerrr for RM8 per DVD.

So it's all about the movies this weekend. I watched:

1. Bolt - I don't like Miley Cyrus, so I think this movie is just so-so hehe biased I know. But the hamster-in-a-ball was funny.

2. Slumdog Millionaire - Oh you just HAVE to watch this!!! Usually I found movies that won so many awards were the ones that can bore you to death, but this one is just waayyy too cool man.

3. Cassandra's Dream - I bought this solely because Ewan McGregor is in it. Of course he's hot in the movie, but the storyline urmm kinda doze-inducing hehe.

4. The 40-year-old Virgin - Steve Carell is just the funniest man ever, full stop.

5. Vicky Cristina Barcelona - The script's kinda deep - what do you expect, it's Woody Allen's. The ending was a bitch - this is one of those annoying "Hah??? Tu jek??!!" endings hehe. But Javier Bardem (and his accent) is GORGEOUS!!!

Also watched 90210 Season 1. Eh tak puas hatinye aku everybody in the series are good-looking and beautiful. Tipu giler aaaa. That is soooo not real life dude!

And the latest episode of Gossip Girl. *Spoiler alert *. OMG Dan and the teacher? NooOOOoooo!

Oh oh oh Grammy Awards is starting. I want Jason Mraz's I'm Yours for the Song of the Year pleasee!!!

Anger Management

I am mad about something. Crazy mad. Boiling mad. Capital M.A.D.

Sometimes I feel like there's a need to explain the situation so that people would stop talking about it. But then again, why should I share my personal matters with you when you are actually nobody to me? Why should I even bother spending my time explaining the situation to people of no importance to me?

I have things to say, believe me, I have a LOT of things to say. But it can get ugly. So I think I'll be the bigger person and try to just let it go (oh how hard I'm trying here). Plus, I prefer not to put my business, especially the very personal ones, on the street.

For now I just want to say...to all those overly-concerned people out there, I appreciate your unwanted attention and unsolicited advice. But status quo works out very well for me so far. Am enjoying it very much at the moment. So get the fuck off my back!!! Thank you very much.

Boolat Caterpillar

Damnit, gotta work this weekend! I'm becoming more and more irritated with the idea of working on weekends ni. Bile tau that I have to work time weekend je, I'll start being moody starting from Wednesday lagi hehe. Guess I'm just tired of it all. I want my Friday nights for movie dates...I want my long weekends for impromptu island getaways...I want all my weekends back!!!

Okay, maybe I'm a bit emo here hehe. I should be thankful that I have a job right now, Alhamdulillah. I was actually browsing through the internet for info on small, remote islands in Malaysia that we can go sometime soon (Pulau Besar in Johor looks very very appealing). But the 'soon' tu tak taulah bila - as usual due to work commitments bluuaarrgghh, hence the bitterness in me =p.

Anyhoooo, moving on to a happier note...our family's little cucu aka little caterpillar has turned all boooolat and tembam now. Sgt geram gile babeng rase nak makan dia!

She'll smile sweetly at you if you babytalk to her (10 minit borak = 1 smile, adoii penat aku!), she'll passionately suck her mittens when she's bored and she's a very happy little bird when it's bath time. Can't wait to hear her talk pulak nanti hihihi~

Aight, gotta go find some simple gift ideas for Val's Day (hint hint babe =p). A very thoughtful person I am hehe.
